Body Talk with Butterfly Fiddle-Hooper Pt. 2 of 2
Show Notes

In this continuation from episode six (Don't Fuck with Horses), we cover a lot of hard learned lessons which leads to stressing why self-care is so incredibly important.

After being diagnose with breast cancer at 31, Butterfly essentially shut down, and would not accept the news until seven years later when she was forced to face her disease or die. Instead of using chemo and other toxic methods commonly used in the United States to treat her cancerous body, she turned towards forms of alternative medicine from China, India, and a certain type of mushroom commonly used as a treatment for cancer in Japan.

We talk about her methods of recovery, maintaining health, and learning how to negotiate space within her body to successfully live with Lymes disease. We also touch on how shedding toxic relationships with friends and family is not only okay, but necessary, reaping the benefits of the energy you put into the world, and thoughts on self care.

We delve into distrust of the government, thoughts and opinions on human nature, and dropped some love for Maya Angelou, an incredible woman, author, and poet. I hope you enjoy this as much as we did recording it.
