Show Notes

The woman I sit down with is Butterfly Fiddle-Hooper, a bi-racial, classically trained violinist, who has been honing her craft for well over thirty years. The first guest I'd never known prior. She is the first documented person to hula-hoop while playing the fiddle and is also a cancer survivor, who has successfully lived with Lymes Disease for over 10 years.

I am grateful for the time she shared with me as we covered a variety of topics from growing up as a half black and half white child among a racist and "prestigious" equestrian family in the desert of Reno, Nevada, to turning her back on horses, falling in love with the fiddle, and learning how to dance for this moment and this moment alone.

Within' the experience shared between us, we tackle heavy subjects such as varying degrees of abuse, relationship endings, death, definitions of family, inspiration behind the music, and embracing the inevitable changes in life, I hope you can find a message of hope as we share a bit about ourselves on the paths on self discovery. We got lost in conversation, so this episode will be split into two parts.
